Microsoft Licenses - Adobe Mobile Software

Do you have a cell phone? If you do what features do you have on it? Maybe you use the internet on it for shopping.

Well, "Microsoft Corp. has licensed Adobe's software for viewing online videos a nd other files on cell phones" "Microsoft will give out Flash Lite and Reader programs from the system to cell phone makers who use its Window Mobile Software." The Flash Lite will give the user the chance to visit more sites and view windows in differnt colors. "Flash Lite is the software behind most shoppoing sites." Adobe is offering this service free of charge to its end users. Microsoft will be offering Silverlight to a billion of its customer to promote it.

"In 2007, 11 million phones carried Windows Mobile." This year they claim they will double their profits. I would think this would be a very challenging thing for Microsoft since they have to pay Adobe for there service when they have their own Silverlight for viewing videos. What do you think about about this? Will Adobe continue to dominate Microsoft in this field or will Microsoft be able to pull it off?
